Swage standoffs and spacers are self-clinching fasteners with or without a thread that are used to create or bridge a space between components. At ETTINGER, we offer three different models that have been precisely designed for use with specific components or certain screws. This ensures a stable mechanical connection between your electronic components and enables parts to be connected at the required distance, e.g. in the case of printed circuit boards or connectors. ETTINGER supplies swage standoffs and spacers at great prices in a variety of lengths, materials, and designs. Large quantities are available from stock – you can order your chosen model easily online. For assemblies which do not require a space between components, we also supply
rivet nuts.
Swage standoffs and spacers: customized to your specific requirements
Type A swage standoffs with a round collar are particularly suitable for use with captive panel screws and made of brass or corrosion-resistant stainless steel (1.4104 / 1.4305) with either a nickel-plated or plain surface, the edges are machined flat or rounded. A variety of dimensions with threads M2.5 to M4 are available immediately from stock, other types can be manufactured on request to your exact specifications. Series production is possible with a minimum order of just 5,000 pieces.
Type B swage standoffs are made of nickel-plated or plain brass and the edges are either machined flat or rounded. Type B with a length of 20 mm or more have a non-continuous thread. Choose from our extensive product range, including different diameters, lengths, and thread types, or inquire about custom production. The usable thread length for both types of swage standoffs is between 6.0mm and 8.0mm depending on the length, the edges are machined flat or rounded.
Swage standoffs for printed circuit boards and connectors
ETTINGER supplies swage standoffs made of stainless steel 18/8 (AISI 300) that have been specially designed for printed circuit boards, with plated through holes as required – various dimensions and thread sizes M3 and M4 are available. The shoulder is knurled. In addition, we also supply swage standoffs with a flange collar and face spline made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel 1.4305.
For D-sub connectors, you can find swage standoffs with an M3 or UNC 4-40 thread in the range. These are made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel A4 (AISI 316) and have a plain surface finish. The round spacers are suitable for use in panels with a minimum thickness of 1.0 mm.
