Rivet nuts demonstrate their particular strengths in hollow profiles and thin-walled materials. As one-piece threaded tubular rivets, they are inserted from one side through a pre-cut hole and flattened into place to create a permanent fastening. This means that the base material is not deformed in the same way as with self-clinching nuts. Together with the corresponding screws, rivet bushes enable a non-twisting and two-sided permanent screw connection in components that have already been surface-treated. ETTINGER supplies various types of rivet nuts in different materials and sizes. You can also order rivet tools from us online, these are used to efficiently fasten the rivet to the base material.
Rivet nuts precisely tailored to your application
You can find the right rivet nut for your components and application here at ETTINGER. Simply select your required material, surface treatment, model and thread type. Rivet nuts are available in nominal sizes M2 to M6 with a countersunk, serrated shaft, flange collar, torque-out resistance, face spline and knurled shoulder, to suit your specific requirements.
Rivet nuts are available as standard in the following materials:
- Unhardened steel 9SMnPb28 K, plain finish
- Galvanized steel
- Brass Ms58CuZn39Pb 3
- Tin-plated brass
Customized versions also available on request
ETTINGER also offers rivet nuts with thread sizes M3 to M5 made of zinc-plated steel (colorless passivated) that are also suitable for very thin-walled parts with a material thickness of 0.8mm to 1.5mm. The maximum range is up to 3.1mm.
If you require nuts with different dimensions, made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel (material 1.4305) X12CrNiS18.8, with a countersunk head, crossbar holder or with a hexagonal shaft, please ask us – custom production to your precise requirements is available usually with a minimum order quantity of just 5,000 pieces.
