The sun at work for our production
With its own photovoltaic system, ETTINGER covers around 30% of its electricity needs and is focusing on sustainable, efficient production at its new site.

With our new production building, ETTINGER is investing in the future and increasing its level of self-sufficiency. Through a digital application, management can monitor current electricity generation at any time. The accompanying video clearly illustrates the amount of energy currently being produced by the system.
In 2023, ETTINGER made a deliberate strategic decision: to invest specifically in the future of the company. The focus was on constructing a new production building, expanding capacity, optimizing processes, and taking a consistent step toward more sustainable production.
At the end of 2024, the new building was occupied as planned, and a photovoltaic system with an output of 95 kWp is now in operation on the roof. The aim of this investment was to cover a significant portion of the company’s electricity needs with self-generated energy.
The results after the first full year of operation are impressive: around 30% of the annual electricity demand can now be covered by the company’s own system. For an energy-intensive production environment, this represents a remarkable achievement.
The system’s potential is particularly evident on sunny summer days: during these periods, production can be fully powered by self-generated solar energy throughout the day. Even under unfavorable weather conditions, the system continues to generate energy and reliably contributes to the power supply.
For ETTINGER, the photovoltaic system is much more than just a technical addition. It represents a sustainable investment in the company’s future and underscores its commitment to actively integrating ecological responsibility into its production processes.
