ETTINGER opens new production hall in Sauerlach
ETTINGER GmbH celebrated the official opening of its new production hall in Sauerlach with around 80 guests. This milestone marks a further step in ETTINGER’s success story – a company synonymous with quality, innovation, and sustainability in the electronics industry for over 60 years. The new 1,550 m² production hall was completed in just 12 months. The following sustainable and innovative technical solutions have been integrated into the building:
- 95 kWp photovoltaic system, which is expected to cover 30–40% of total electricity consumption (17% already achieved in winter 2024/2025)
- Electric heat pump which, when combined with underfloor heating and cooling, ensures efficient air conditioning in both the production hall and offices
- Heat recovery systems: The compressors and CNC lathes heat the hall in fall and winter, thereby reducing energy requirements
- Fully air-conditioned building (except stock warehouse) with state-of-the-art technologies for sustainable working
The guests at the inauguration ceremony included representatives of neighboring companies, customers, ETTINGER employees, Sauerlach mayor Barbara Bogner, and members of the Sauerlach municipal council. Together they took the opportunity to explore the modern production hall and the machines. Guided tours provided visitors with exciting insights into the innovative production processes as well as fascinating details about the machinery.
The presentation of the new apprentice workshop, where future machining mechanics will soon be trained, was a particular highlight. Boasting state-of-the-art technical equipment, it offers young talent the opportunity to complete their training in an environment fit for the future.
